In a down economy it is tough not to focus on profit. Some
companies are doing okay while others are just getting by.
Charter Builders wanted to do more at their Eagle
Mountain-Saginaw High School project. They wanted to give back
to the local community. The Community Link Mission of Saginaw
is a non-profit organization that helps provide food and basic
home supplies for the less fortunate. Charter Builders
coordinated a food and school supply drive to contribute to the
mission's cause. When Charter asked for the help of their
subcontractors, SKIHI Enterprises did not back down. Donations
of food and school supplies came pouring in. By the end,
Charter Builders had collected $4,275 in cash and approximately
$10,000 in food and school supplies. The staff at SKIHI
Enterprises also teamed up with Baker Triangle to provide grills
for the final Give Back Lunch at which the Community Link
Mission was presented with their donations. Superintendent, Mike Dixson, and Assistant Project Manager, Brian Massey, grilled
almost 300 hamburgers and 200 hot dogs in support of the lunch.
Needless to say, the food drive was a success. It just proves
everyone benefits when great companies like Charter Builders and
SKIHI Enterprises team up to make a difference.
