The BIM concept simulates virtual design construction of a facility prior to its actual physical construction. This process is used in order to reduce uncertainty, improve safety, work out problems, as well as simulate and analyze potential conflicts. Systems, assemblies and sequences can be shown in a relative scale with the entire facility or group of facilities. BIM also prevents errors by enabling conflict or “clash detection” whereby the computer model visually highlights parts of the building that may conflict with each other.
SkiHi has significant expertise in the BIM process and is often the lead BIM coordinator on major projects. Our goal is to stay on the cutting edge of this capability to minimize the waste of material and manpower in the field.
