Cook Children’s Medical Center

The North Bed Tower expansion project was completed in 2012. The five story structure (and basement) included the addition of over 150 patient beds for the ever expanding hospital. This 270,000 square foot project included an expansion of the existing Central Utility Plant with the addition of one 1250 ton chiller, two cooling towers, two chilled water pumps, two condenser water pumps, piping and controls. A new North Parking Garage was built concurrently with the other two projects and brought the total project cost for the mechanical and plumbing work to over $22 million.
